It Might Not Be Premature Ejaculation If You Can Last This Long

Not Premature Ejaculation

Are you concerned that you might be suffering from premature ejaculation? There are plenty of men who feel the same way. If they’re unable to last as long as their female partner does, one unpleasant experience is enough to lead them to think that they have problems with premature ejaculation. As a result, they are exposed to a lot of stress and anxiety, which only make the matters worse. But how long is long enough? According to one recent study, couples across the United States usually last up to 12 minutes.

How Long Does Sex Last?

A US-based company behind a popular mobile sex app recently ordered a research to see how long sex lasts for couples across the nation. They had more than 400 couples share their stories about nearly 2,000 different sexual experiences. Having compared the results, the researchers have calculated that an intercourse for an average American couple lasts no longer than a dozen minutes. So, if you can go on for this long, you might not be suffering from premature ejaculation problems, after all.

The researchers have also made the state-by-state data available. In it, we can see that the duration of an average sexual intercourse can vary greatly. For instance, couples living in Maine have reported that they tend to go on for about 19 minutes. Not just that, but they were universally satisfied with what was going on in their bedrooms.

Unlike them, the couples from Michigan told a completely different story. Most of them were satisfied with the quality of their sex lives, but have also expressed the intention of introducing some new things to the experience in order to spice it up a little bit. Their desire to improve their sex lives shouldn’t come as a surprise in light of the fact that they usually make love for just about seven minutes.

But Is This Enough?

Despite the fact the couples have stated they were very happy with their sex lives, to learn that they only set aside up to 12 minutes on average to enjoy making love is a bit surprising, admittedly. It opens up a whole new set of questions, the first one being if women find each encounter as satisfying as their male partners do. In recent years, numerous studies have shown that women usually need longer to reach orgasm than men do. In fact, the ideal duration of intercourse for women is anywhere above 30 minutes!

Of course, those 30 minutes also include foreplay, which opens up another question. Did this study take foreplay into consideration at all? Seeing as 12 minutes does seem too short for both partners to achieve orgasms, it might suggest that foreplay hasn’t been accounted for. No answer to this question can be found in the research. However, foreplay can make quite a big difference, seeing as it helps build excitement and gets couples – especially women – in the mood for sex.

So, Can You Go for 12 Minutes?

If you can last for up to 12 minutes, until both your partner and yourself have finished, you might not actually have any problems with premature ejaculation. In fact, as evidenced by the participants in the research living in Michigan, even seven minutes seems enough for them to be happy with their sex lives.

In case these results offer no encouragement, there are plenty of things you can do to fight premature ejaculation and be able to last as long as your female partner needs you to. The most important thing is to avoid falling into the trap of stress and anxiety, as that will only further complicate your situation and will make finding a solution to it seem like an unachievable goal.

Talk to your partner and discuss how you can work around your problems with premature ejaculation. Research suggests that being more creative in the bedroom can be of great help. This includes trying out oral sex, as well as using your hands to ensure that your partner is enjoying the experience. If that’s not enough, you could use a treatment like PrematureX.
